About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting relevant information and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
