Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Mobile Driver

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Mobile Driver Security Officer in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of a primarily driving post, monitor alarm panels, and help maintain a secure environment. Your visibility will help deter incidents, and you will respond to security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Support compliance with site rules, assist with traffic and vehicle access as assigned, and communicate observations or concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
