Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Licensed Driver Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This driving position supports a welcoming campus environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel and documenting incidents accurately.
- Support a welcoming campus environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining a professional presence during assigned shifts.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
