As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with visitors and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Details
- Position Type: Part Time
- Pay Rate: $22.15 / Hour
- Job Schedule: DayTime, Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government-related location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the building perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and other designated locations.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations in required reports, helping to deter unauthorized activity and support a professional environment.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
