Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Driving Role

About the role
As a Part-Time Unarmed Driving Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, report security-related concerns, provide outstanding customer service, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor building access, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report unauthorized access attempts, maintenance concerns, or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by established protocols.
- Document daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and visitor or contractor information in required reports and logs.
Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$18.21 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
