Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Driving Role

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in a Driving Unarmed Patrol role at a chemical/petrochemical location in Merrillville, IN, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with employees and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned facilities, access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and reporting access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while following required personal protective equipment and site operational requirements.

Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
