Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Driver Customer Assistance

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail shopping location in Kissimmee, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with shoppers and staff, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the retail location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence and positive interactions with the public.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
