Security Officer - Part Time - Unarmed

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location in Cincinnati, OH, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, associates, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. This role offers flexibility through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to appropriate store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, customer and employee interactions, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unwanted activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

Part-time. Shifts: Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
