Security Officer - Unarmed - Part Time

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location in Los Gatos, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and production personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, production spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment at a technology and media location by communicating clearly with site contacts, responding to requests, and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$26.96 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM
