As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and control access to the logistics and distribution location.
- Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting events according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks are present at this site.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$18.50 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
