Security Officer Part Time - Unarmed

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication, customer service, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vendors, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report unusual conditions or damaged access controls, and follow site procedures for incident documentation and escalation.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$19.00 / Hour

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
