Security Officer Part Time - Unarmed

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, and use technology to document activity. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor check-in requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor, contractor, delivery, and vehicle activity, in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-related areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels.
• Customer service experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

$18.85 / hour
