Security Officer Part - Time - Unarmed

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Security Officer in Lima, OH to serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial settings. The position offers flexible scheduling through the “Claim a Shift” platform and emphasizes customer service, observation, reporting, and a team‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, hazards, and security‑related incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation while following access control and visitor management procedures.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.50 per hour

Daytime shifts: Monday 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Tuesday 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM
