Security Officer Part Time Second Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer X Ray Image Review in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. This is a part-time position where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Screener at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and items entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of packages, freight, and personal items as authorized by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.22 / Hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
