About the role
As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help deter incidents through a professional presence. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen persons, packages, and personal belongings entering the technology and telecommunications location in accordance with established procedures and applicable site requirements.
- Verify credentials, manage visitor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
