Security Officer Part Time Driver Screening Examiner

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Driver Screening Examiner in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role involves monitoring access, screening individuals and materials, conducting patrols, and providing exceptional customer service while supporting operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification and controlling access to restricted areas.
• Inspect packages, personal belongings, vehicles, and/or shipments as directed by site policies and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, reporting observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Valid driver’s license (required for this driving position).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$16.82 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
