Security Officer Part Time Perimeter Observation

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Observation in Florham Park, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, process areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support access control activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be willing to undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
