Security Officer Part Time Patrol Surveillance

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location in Tulsa, OK, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to designated personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Friday: 08:30 AM - 08:30 PM
