Security Officer Part Time Patrol Observation

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Tampa, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a part-time position offering flexibility and opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting unusual conditions and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly with property personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.00 / hour
