This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Assessment in EVERETT, WA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.
- Day/Time: Tuesday, 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies within a healthcare research location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and operational needs.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
