About the role

As an Armed Part-Time Patrol Assessment Security Officer in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage and more. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to site needs with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, personnel, or property, including unsecured doors, damaged barriers, and unusual activity.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
