Security Officer Part Time Loss Prevention Patrol

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a luxury retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for customers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and retail team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stockroom access points, employee areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor customer and visitor activity, identify unusual behavior or conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and documentation of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
