Security Officer Part Time Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Officer Part Time Healthcare Patrol in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security‑related incidents, responding to concerns, and providing courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation (in accordance with federal, state, and local laws).
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements mandated by state and/or local laws (may be required prior to employment).
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Pay

$18.36 per hour

Schedule

Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM; Friday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
