Security Officer Part Time Evening Access Monitoring

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Monitoring in Denver, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, customers, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and direct guests, deliveries, and contractors according to location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated store areas, access points, receiving areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Comfort with using computers and tablets.
