Security Officer Part Time Entry Verification

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution center, you will help maintain a welcoming, security-related environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting the flow of authorized personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorization, document visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged access equipment, policy violations, and security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
