Security Officer Part Time Entry Verification

About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, visitor entries, access-control events, and incident information accurately in required logs and reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Pay

$18.57 - $19.57 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: Monday and Friday, 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
