Security Officer Part Time Entry Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entries, maintaining required access records, and communicating entry requirements.
• Monitor access points, vehicle traffic, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly documenting and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and industrial operations areas, while reporting security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
