Security Officer Part Time Entry Authorization

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. This part-time, driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and facility personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles and coordinate with site personnel regarding authorized deliveries, pickups, and restricted-area access.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.39 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
