As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Authorization in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$25.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
• Example shift: Thursday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue and recover access credentials as directed, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobby areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• A state, county, or city-issued security license (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
