Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior observed during patrols or while assigned to key areas of the location.
  • Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting security-related issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
  • Licenses required: Valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Background investigation: Subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Drug screen: Subject to applicable laws.
