Security Officer Part Time Bicycle Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with crowd and line observation during busy periods, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues to the appropriate contact.
• Support closing and opening routines as directed, including checking designated access points, observing delivery and vendor activity, and following post instructions for after-hours patrol coverage.

Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
