How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or public emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support authorized entry and/or document notable observations.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, daily activities, and/or policy-related concerns, and share updates with Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
