About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Incident Documentation in Reno, NV, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be assigned a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or down as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to deter theft, unauthorized entry, and suspicious activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$18.95 / hour

• Daytime
• Saturday: 05:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sunday: 05:00 AM - 12:00 PM
