Security Officer Part Time Armed Surveillance

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer at a premier residential community in Boca Raton, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential community areas, entrances, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor and vendor procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.54 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
