Security Officer - Part Time Armed Driver Patrol

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As an Armed Driver Patrol Officer in Leesburg, VA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, packages, and personal items in accordance with established procedures, using screening equipment and following escalation protocols for prohibited or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with incident documentation as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain required licensing, weapons qualifications, and training; handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
