As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver in Bayboro, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
• Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour
• Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit activity, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and support investigations and/or follow-up actions related to security-related events.

Minimum Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
