Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations, assisting with access-related procedures and directing visitors according to site expectations.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and/or first responders as needed regarding incidents, property issues, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

About the Role

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Skills

Security-related experience, alarm panel experience, customer service experience, ability to respond calmly to incidents, and basic computer skills are beneficial but not required.
