Security Officer Part Time Patrol Alarm Monitoring

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will carry out security-related procedures, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing site conditions, reporting hazards or unusual activity, and communicating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
