Security Officer - Part Time Access Systems Monitor

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will manage badge access, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use technology to document activity and communicate with employees and visitors while supporting a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, manage guest entry processes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-related issues, incidents, and shift activity.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$24.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
