As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by managing visitor access, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain clear communication, and support a professional presence that helps deter incidents. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, sales floors, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Assist with monitoring deliveries, employee access, and restricted areas while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
