As an Access Control Officer at a leading technology data center location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and critical operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related incident response while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor entry processes, and document access-related activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established communication channels as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, business areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control records while supporting a professional and service-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
