Security Officer - Nights Full Time

As a Security Officer Xray Inspection Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post procedures and location requirements while documenting unusual findings and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations during high-volume shipping and receiving activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas such as sorting, loading, and dock locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing conditions, reporting maintenance or policy issues, and documenting security-related activity as needed.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour
