Security Officer Medical Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Medical Patrol Driver in Mission Viejo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. This unarmed patrol role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and fostering a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations—including requests for assistance, disturbances, medical-related emergencies, and access-control concerns—in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with monitoring access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Hospital vaccinations are required.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$25.00 per hour.
