Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Guardian in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity every day.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout shopping areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces while providing visible support for loss prevention awareness and general order at the location.
- Assist with closing procedures, crowd flow monitoring, and/or customer assistance during busy periods, special events, or emergency situations as directed by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
