Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver

About the role

Award-winning security and facility services company Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver Full Time in Newport Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access-related issues, reporting unusual behavior, and supporting a professional environment for guests and employees.
• Assist with closing procedures, crowd observation, and/or traffic flow during busy periods, special events, and peak shopping hours while following post orders and client-directed protocols.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
