Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe work environment by monitoring ETC activities and inspecting facilities.
- Responds to emergencies and involves external resources as necessary.
- Enforces security procedures and maintains logs of incidents.
- Restricts access and conducts preliminary investigations.
- Reports hazards and initiates emergency response procedures.
- Maintains equipment and complies with policies.
- Completes mandatory training and documentation.
Supports Department Functions
- Provides escort services and enforces parking rules.
- Aids in screening and conducting preliminary investigations.
- Documents daily activities and reports incidents.
Ensures Hospital Safety
- Reports and investigates safety hazards.
- Participates in drills and evaluations.
- Maintains knowledge of safety policies.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Attends department meetings and completes required education.
- Complies with organizational policies and standards.
- Available to work overtime and additional shifts.
Education and Experience
- Two years of police experience or equivalent.
- Two to three years of industrial or health care security experience.
- Some criminal justice or related field education combined with security experience.
- Two years of military police experience and one year of security experience.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and closed-circuit television.
- Computer knowledge for preparing reports and forms.
