As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time NYS Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Schedule

Day Time: Tuesday, 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with visitor direction and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
