The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position provides flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career. You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule (anchor shifts) with a six‑month commitment. Through the Claim‑A‑Shift program you may pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with government location procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Undergo a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Meet any additional licensing requirements mandated by state and/or local laws.
  • A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Pay

$18.87 per hour.

Schedule

Wednesday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (fixed anchor shifts).
