About the role
As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Avon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare environments. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through routine patrols, quick response, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment where integrity, reliability, and innovation guide daily work.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report security-related concerns, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to site expectations.
- Assist with directions, de-escalation, and general support during routine operations and emergency situations while maintaining a professional presence.
Requirements
- Vaccination may be required for this hospital assignment.
- This assignment may include work in and/or around a hospital morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Must be able to restrain individuals when required by the assignment.
- This is primarily a driving post.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
