About the role
As a Security Officer - Hospital De Escalation Response in Bellflower, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare environments. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Guided by integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, innovation, and a caring, people-first culture, you will help create a welcoming and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor guidance, access control, and/or de-escalation in accordance with site protocols.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be willing and able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$20.70 / hour
